Tim has taught at Fay since 2008. Prior to arriving at Fay, he taught at the Tuxedo Park School in New York for two years and, prior to that, worked as an outdoor educator in Washington D.C., Wyoming, Australia, and New Hampshire. He has served as Fay's science department chair since 2010, and he has taught Physical Science, ESL General Science, and Conceptual Physics. He worked with his wife, Emily McCauley, to design the interdisciplinary course Diagnosing the Modern World, which they have been co-teaching since 2011. In addition to teaching, Tim is the varsity volleyball coach, a Duty Administrator on weekends, and a member of the residential life team living in Webster House with his wife. When not immersed in all of the happenings at Fay, Tim enjoys spending as much time outside as possible. He loves churning up miles on his road bike, finding new mountains to ski, competing in adventure races with friends, and exploring the world with his wife. His son, Cormac, was born in 2014.
