Spend your summer with Fay!

For over 25 years, FaySummer has offered dynamic, engaging programs for campers in pre-school (age 3) through grade 9. We are excited to continue our programs for the summer of 2024, and we hope that you will join us for another summer filled with fun, memories, growth, and exploration!

What Makes Us Special?

    • Our Staff

We’re the experts in elementary and middle school education! Our dedicated unit leaders are all trained educators, and each of them has over ten years of experience working at FaySummer with elementary-aged children. Many of our team members are Fay faculty, and our counselor staff also includes teachers from the local community, professionals in their fields, and college students with experience working with children. Our understanding of the unique needs of this age group make it possible for us to create a summer full of meaningful and enriching experiences.

    • Our Facilities

Our setting is specially designed for campers ages 3-15! FaySummer takes place on the campus of Fay School in Southborough, Massachusetts. All of our spaces have been designed for elementary and middle-school children, from brand-new playgrounds and fully air-conditioned classrooms to a zero-entry swimming pool for our youngest campers. Campers have access to all of the school’s state-of-the-art facilities, including two pools, two playgrounds, athletic fields, tennis courts, gyms, indoor rock climbing wall, outdoor adventure course, theater, visual arts center, and our new Center for Creativity and Design.

    • Extended Day Options for Day Campers

We have options for busy families! FaySummer offers extended morning care and afternoon care each day. Morning care is available from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for an additional cost of $178 per session, and extended afternoon care is available from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for an additional cost of $209 per session.

    • Safety is our Priority

At FaySummer, safety is our primary concern. Our staff participates in extensive training in preparation for their work with campers. Low camper-to-staff ratios make quality supervision possible at all times. Swimming instructors are lifeguard certified, and camp staff are trained in first aid and CPR. FaySummer also has a nurse on staff each day.

    • Endless Activities

Our experienced camp leaders plan each week carefully to ensure a healthy variety of experiences, particularly for campers who spend the whole summer with us. As a result, not all activities are offered every week to every age group. Here’s a sampling of just a few of the activities we’ve offered to program participants in previous years. Archery • Arts & Crafts • Circus Arts • Dance • Fishing • Music • Nature • Orienteering • Outdoor Adventures • Ropes Course • Science • Soccer • Sports • Tennis • Visual Arts • Wood Shop

    • Daily Swimming

All FaySummer campers spend time each day in our pools. Our campers who are still learning to swim receive lessons daily with our Red Cross-certified instructors, and our youngest swimmers use our zero-entry pool to ensure relaxed and meaningful learning experiences in the water. Both of our pools are also heated for those rare cool summer days and mornings.

    • Outdoor Adventure

FaySummer’s outdoor adventure course features engaging low-ropes and high-ropes challenges (and even includes a tower used for training by Southborough’s Fire Department!). Our Outdoor Adventure program is based on a “challenge by choice” philosophy, providing safe experiences that challenge campers to push personal limits, take reasonable risks, and build leadership and collaborative problem solving skills.

    • Sports and Games

Traditional camp games and team building activities are a key part of every camp day, as well as sports such as soccer, baseball, flag football, and basketball. Die-hard sports enthusiasts can sign up for a Spotlight sports program, where they can spend a full camp day focused on a single sport. (Ask a FaySummer camper to tell you about our amazing Gaga Ball court!)

    • Visual Arts

Find your inner (or outer!) artist! Campers have access to our three art studios where they can explore a range of media, including watercolor, oils, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics.

    • Calling All Makers

Campers have access to Fay’s Center for Creativity and Design, a 7,000 square-foot facility that features spaces outfitted specifically for creative problem-solving, with tools for making creative ideas and designs a reality, including CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printers. Campers have opportunities throughout the summer to design and build in this safe and supervised setting.

    • Performing Arts

Whether you’re a seasoned actor or just beginning to wonder if you’re meant for the spotlight, drama is a fun part of every camper’s schedule. Day campers participate in improv games designed to build confidence and creativity, as well as short scripted performances. Full productions are an option through our Broadway Bootcamp Specialty Camp and Musical Theater Spotlight Camp.
